Be One - A Guided Forest Meditation - April

Be one with nature as you join us for a guided forest meditation. This program pays homage to the Japanese practice of Shinrin-yoku, also known as forest bathing. A short hike will bring us to a shaded area where we will utilize yoga mats and inflatable loungers that are designed for the perfect chill. Our interpretive guides will help you disconnect and reset by combining elements of mindful meditation, grounding and nature immersion. This experience will leave you feeling refreshed and recharged. Current local conditions will determine each months location. We will meet at Brick City Adventure Park at 7:45 am and shuttle together to each month's location. Guests will be given the option of meeting at the park, this activity may include a stop for brunch after the meditation session. We recommend bringing sunscreen, bug spray, water and a snack or light lunch.

Our homeschool Science & Ecology program will provide a captivating journey of discovery while gaining a profound understanding of the natural world and a lifelong appreciation for the environment. Please note that this homeschool class will include small field trips. Our homeschool ecology and science course is all about wildlife and wild spaces. We seek to teach our students the value of a balanced ecosystem. This means learning about conservation and the best practices of land stewardship. The big focus is on taking the classroom outdoors. Hikes and trips to local parks will be a regular part of the curriculum. Along with each area of focus we will learn names of plant and animal species we encounter and discuss their role in the ecosystem as well as our role in helping them to thrive. This is a field trip centered course and will involve hiking. Sun screen, light snacks and water bottles are recommended. On-going home-school Ecology Science program for youth ages 9-12 Meets at Brick City Adventure Park each Tuesday at 9:00am to 12:00pm. No program on school holidays. Class is limited to 13 students. Monthly fee is $25/child.
