Our homeschool Science & Ecology program will provide a captivating journey of discovery while gaining a profound understanding of the natural world and a lifelong appreciation for the environment. Please note that this homeschool class will include small field trips. Our homeschool ecology and science course is all about wildlife and wild spaces. We seek to teach our students the value of a balanced ecosystem. This means learning about conservation and the best practices of land stewardship. The big focus is on taking the classroom outdoors. Hikes and trips to local parks will be a regular part of the curriculum. Along with each area of focus we will learn names of plant and animal species we encounter and discuss their role in the ecosystem as well as our role in helping them to thrive. This is a field trip centered course and will involve hiking. Sun screen, light snacks and water bottles are recommended.
